Station House is located down a short tarmac track off the road from Ponthryfendigaid to Aberystwyth facing the north end of the Cors Caron National Nature Reserve where the Strata Florida railway station used to be located and the
Ystwyth Trail

The house layout comprises of;
Two bedrooms and landing area upstairs
Living dining area, kitchen bathroom and third bedroom/study downstairs

It has oil fired central heating and is partly double glazed

The living dining room with oil stove measures 22ft6" x 11ft8"

The third bedroom/study measures 10ftx8ft and contains good built in cupboards ( Ground floor )

Upstairs front bedroom (with beautiful views over Cors Caron) is 11ft6" x 16ft

Back bedroom is 8ft10" x 11ft with airing cupboard and immersion heater.

There is a small landing with a built in wardrobe.

12,000 years ago mid-Wales was in the grip of the last Ice Age. As the climate warmed, the glaciers receded and a large shallow lake occupied this valley. A huge reed bed and woodland developed, but the climate became cooler and wetter, allowing the sphagnum mosses to invade and begin the process of building three raised bogs. For centuries, the peat was cut by local people and burnt as fuel. Today, Cors Caron is one of the finest raised bog systems in Britain. A number of plants that are adapted to the acidic conditions of raised bogs can be found, such as sun-dews, bog rosemary and cotton grasses. The red kite is often seen hovering above the reserve.
